Safe Sport

The USA Gymnastics Safe Sport Policy is the foundation for rules, policies, and responsibilities for athlete safety and well-being and the prevention of abuse. The Policy encompasses the requirements of the “SafeSport Code for the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement” and federal laws, including the “Protecting Young Victims and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017.”

With everything that has happened in the gymnastics community in the last few years, USAG and Safe Sport have stepped up to provide some comprehensive information to help advocate for our gymnasts. I will attach some of the documentation and we will be posting the documentation (consent forms, reports, etc) on our website and on the blog. We want to make sure our girls are safe at all times. Almost all team coaches have participated in the USAG Safety Certification and Safe Sport courses.

Wildcard Teaching Philosophy

The coaching staff at Wildcard Gymnastics understands that gymnastics is an individual sport and each gymnast will be treated as an individual.  Our staff will do their best to provide your athlete with appropriate guidance, not only to aid your athlete in gymnastics but also in life.  We work hard to make sure every child feels comfortable and safe when communicating with our staff. 

 

Our goals are to promote your gymnasts self-confidence, positive self-image and critical thinking skills in order to improve their performance in all aspects of life.  We do our best to respect the balance between working out, pushing through mental and physical obstacles while taking care of our minds and bodies, each athlete is encouraged to stove for quality and excellence at their own pace. 

 

By taking this approach we hope the gymnasts will retain the love for the sport that originally motivated them to become gymnasts!

Wildcard History

Wildcard Gymnastics is a USA Gymnastics and Amateur Athletic Union Member club that offers gymnastics to every demographic.  We are a grass roots family gym that has taken off over the last 10 years.  We have grown from a 2,500 square foot church gymnasium in Wauwatosa to an over 10,000 square foot Warehouse in Brookfield.  We have seen numerous collegiate athletes begin their gymnastics journey here at Wildcard Gymnastics.
